I just came back from a collection trip to India. It was a short but very productive trip. We were collecting in the Western Ghats region in Southern India, which is home to many amazing fish species. Dawkinsia barbs, Etroplus canarensis, and Pristolepis marginata are a few fish that I really like from this region.
On this trip I was very keen on making underwater videos. I wanted to capture the natural feel of the fishes’ habitats. Catching fish, putting them in photo tanks, and photographing them has always been a standard procedure that you follow when on a fish collection trip. But I think that if you have gone that far to catch the fish, why not capture them on camera swimming free in their natural habitat as well? That will help capture the natural glory of the fish on camera.
So, here is a small teaser trailer that I have made. I am working on the videos and should have more out in the next few weeks.
Don’t forget to listen to the music while watching the video. That is the essence of it:
Be sure to watch Reef2Rainforest.com, the AMAZONAS email newsletter, and the AMAZONAS Facebook page, for my forthcoming field reports in the weeks ahead.
